About Us

Lance-Anderson Supply was formed in 1943, by William Lance and Albert Anderson. Initially the business focused on sand, cement and plastering supplies. In 1946, G.W. Lance, the son of William joined the firm. Seeing the need for a more comprehensive material supply house, he created the model for a construction supply "speciality house". It was then that Lance Construction Supplies as we know it today was born. Mr. G. W. Lance became president of the firm in 1951, and guided the business through it nascent stages until it became a leader in the industry. Now over 60 years later the company continues to be "go to guy" in the Chicago market.
